About The Perry Family Tree
This Perry Family originated in the United Kingdom and some of them moved to Canada before W.W. #1. The descendants of these Perrys have mostly stayed within Canada with the exception of a few who have gone to U.S.A... We have been able to trace back with the help of some who are still residing in England and with the aid of the internet, to as far as the 9th century in some branches. we hope to be able in future to get further back. Many of our ancestors beginnings were in the south of England, Hertfordshire, Nr. Watford, Abbots Langley, also from Hampshire, Kent and Sussex, And some from Middlesex near Harrow. There is also large branch from Wales. It may be
that some people will view this site who can supply information to add to the site. This is our hope, but we would also hope it to be factual and verified information if possible. Much of the history has been gathered through the efforts of Nancy Nielsen, David & Roger Flint, as well as others too numerous to mention. A special thanks though, to Cousin Jocelyn Bond from Down under, and to Nancy Thompson, to whom we owe thanks for all of her work and advice. In late 2003 a Scottish link was discovered and we are adding to it as more information comes to light. So this added extension of our family which was traced back from Captain john Wilson and which can also be seen on the linked Saies-Jones site, supplied the long hoped for answer to John Wilson`s ancestry which we had suspected to be Scottish, and has enabled us to go back several centuries in Scotland. To Nancy Thompson and her determination we owe a debt of gratitude... There are also links to Ireland through the ancestor names Fahey, and Sankey The Fahey Family had emigrated, we know, with the Warner expedition in the 1600's to the Carribean Island of St Christopher, from Ireland (Galway).. And the Sankeys ( John), to England ( Kent) also in the 1600's from somewhere in Ireland.... There is also a Holland connection, (Heyliger) through the Carribean Isle of St. Eustatia..Don Perry..
